anyway, Climbing Champ... as has been said, it doesnt matter what age you are, whether your 14 or 104, crushes happen. If they didnt we wouldnt be Human. try to be sensible and not to get to fresh with her, then WAM BAM!!.. when your 16 you can... ok, ok..

it really doesnt matter how old your are. without sounding horrible (because im not being horrible).. your mum probably cant remember what she really thought when she was 14 (i take it that it was a while ago) she probably had a crush on someone....so just be cool and do the right thing. youre 14, you have all the time in the world, no point rushing in to things.

but theres nothing wrong in liking someone!

Oh no! Its a crush, I feel ya man. They definately suck ass. Its hard, but heres a little tip.Try and keep the person as a friend(a close friend). Don't sneak behind youre mothers back, but keep the person close. See if you can form a bond without actually dating. I was in the same boat when I was around youre age, and thats how I got through it.

Whatever age you are, crushes do happen! I had plenty of them when I was in my early teens!

I guess acting upon it depends on who the person is:
If it's someone innappropriate i.e. your teacher- stay awayyyyy and just lust from afar.
If it's someone famous i.e. on tv - good luck and join the fanclub
If it's someone you could get to know in person or are already friends with then what's the harm in it? As someone else here suggested, try to form a good friendship with them and your crush may pass or you may have made a good friend or they might like you back! Who knows?

14 isn't really too young to have a girlfriend as long as nothing is rushed or too serious. What your mum is probably forgetting is that boyfriend/girlfriend relationships you have at 14/15 are very different to those you have at 24/25!
