The oddities of criminal codes of honor will ensure this kid gets what he deserves while in jail.

Interesting that the article calls him a "teen," when he's actually an adult. Most other times, papers call 18-year-olds "men" or "women." It's almost as if they were trying to slant the article. Maybe I'm just reading too much into it.

I agree with Ryan. I have heard that sexual predators are not looked upon favorably in prisons.

That is all kinds of wrong.

Interesting the article also states " According to testimony, the attack was triggered by the victim's drunken pass at a 12-year-old girl and his attempt to steal drugs."
Makes me think that victim isn't a candidate for sainthood either.

Although there was no reason for the attacker to do what he did, I also think we might not have been told significant details about what led to the attack.

Its to sell more papers.Make it a bigger thing so they can earn money on it.

I think this crime is awful offcourse.
But its interessting what triggerd this boy to do this..maybe he has been razed in the belife that this is the right thing to do.or maybe he is just stupid. Can we blaim him then??..I know its weird.
But its wrong and he should go to prison or mentalhospital.
In sweden they punish phedofiles and rapist and so on in jail..but at least in sweden the guards also protects these people because they know they are going down..be hurt or worse..

A drunken pass at an underage girl does not warrant a near fatal assault, and trying to claim "he stole my drugs" just makes the situation worse for the defendant.

That's not what I was saying as I said that there was no reason for the attacker to do what he did.
The article is obviously focussing on the defendants racism and not providing other details such as to what degree was this "drunken pass"? If I saw a 17 year old guy getting heavy with a 12 year old girl I'd certainly have more than a few things to say about it. I repeat though that this does not excuse the vile actions of the guy who was sentenced.

I didn't realise it was the defendants drugs he was trying to steal. That does change things a little.

Did the events occur at the party? If so , wth was a 12 year old girl doing at a drug party?!
