I just had two of my wisom teeth pulled. I'm still numb but already its starting to kill me. And the Dr told me that I'll have to have the other two pulled soon also. I thought it was going going to be the same thing like having a regular tooth pulled. Guess I was wrong ( hey, it happens...).

Yeah dude, it's not much fun. I got all four of mine pulled three years ago. On the plus side, they give you some pretty badass medication to deal with the pain. I had had my appendix removed about two weeks before I got the teeth pulled, so between the two sets of pain pills I had from the two different operations, there's about a month of my junior year that I barely remember. Good times!

No, there are other narcotics that are safer and effectively deal with this type of minor pain. Usually they prescribe Hydrocodone, which is codeine and acetometaphin.
When I had both my hips replaced, though, I was on a Dilaudid (synthetic morphine only much, much stronger) drip for the week or so I was in the hospital, and on Oxycontin (synthetic morphine) for about two weeks after, then percocet and then, finally, about two months down the road, they switched me to hydrocodone. |

For Ryan's case he might have needed it because of intensive care, but for your tooth-ache i would first try Tylenol and then Hydrocodone. Or you can just try and go through the pain... ![]()

Zigg - he said he had his HIPS replaced, not his ribs.

Getting your Wisdom teeth pulled is hardly the same thing as a tooth-ache.

Had both my top wisdom teeth pulled, had a little pain after the novicane wore off.I have heard that getting the bottom out are far more painful than the top and it comes with more risks *dry sockets*.For medical reasons I couldnt have my two bottoms ones pulled, but I had root canals on them both. Not fun having a root canal that far back in your mouth.
I have a gag reflex problem so that was f-ng hell. Id rather have my top wisdom teeth pulled any day of the week instead of having a tooh ache/tooth die. |
