I had all four pulled at the same time so I guess I never noticed any sort of difference between the top and bottom. I had never heard that bottom were worse. I just know that my mouth hurt like ****ing crazy.

Also wisdom are a funny thing. When I had mine done in the dentists chair they came out after one hell of a struggle, not very pleasant but hey. Took a few painkillers and then back to work the next day fine. But when my friend has his out in the dentists he got roayally screwed looked like he was set about with a baseball bat, face all swollen and bruised etc... Makes me think it is the dentist/hospital that make all the difference.

Lucky, I feel your pain, but on the other hand I can never feel your pain. as I will never have Wisdom teeth, and im a bit old now to start having any! lol.. but I know a lot of people who do, and its nasty! my gf had a really shit time with them. they were growing in to her jaw at the back.. she was on Tramadol, because to take morphine meant she couldn’t drive etc.. but if you ask me as Tramadol is only a step down from Morphine, there isn’t a lot of difference apart from strength.

anyway, hope you get better soon!!

Thanks. I'm on Amoxicylin and codene although it doesnt seem to be helping. I had one top and one bottom yanked and I really cant tell where the pain is coming from. on the plusd side though, ther's practically no visible swelling. but it does hurt even more than when I had jaw surgery. I guess everyone's different

More times then none you'll get Vics or some kind of codeen(sp?) Perks if your in REAL bad pain. When I had arthoscoptic surgery on my elbow I had a script to perks for like two months... I might get another script soon because I have arthritis in it and lots of scar tissue, hurts so bad sometimes I can't sleep and tyl, advil, ib dont help enough.
