WHOOO JAZZ WIN! I LOVE CARLOS BOOZER!

That game (and series, really) was a lot closer than it should have been, but it sure was fun. Now onto Golden State, and I have no idea what to think about that series. Jazz were the better team for most of the year, but Golden State is playing out of their heads and has that goofy style of play where you have no idea what to expect. I take some comfort in the fact that Jerry Sloan isn't going to be scared of Nellie like Avery was, and that Utah will have the home court advantage, but I honestly couldn't even imagine making some sort of prediction. And I don't even care right now. JAZZ WIN WHOOOOOOO!

Good game so far (GS slightly up in the 3rd).

I'm surprised - a little - that Chicago lost the 2nd game to Detroit..

I STILL love Carlos Boozer! Harpring, Williams, Memo, and AK-47 are all pretty cool too.

AWESOME game, both teams were just shooting the lights out. This is going to be a fun series, although I worry that it might kill me. Golden State scares the hell out of me, but I think Utah proved tonight that they can keep up. I'd be a bit more comfortable if they tried to slow things down a bit though. They're definitely capable of running, but I don't think it's the pace they're most comfortable at.

I'm not surprised that Detroit has beaten Chicago, but the margin of victory is a bit surprising. The Bulls just got destroyed in both games. I don't expect that one to last too long, the way things have been going. Detroit is clearly the class of the East, even though I'd really like to see LeBron get to the Finals.

Great game between the Suns and Spurs the other day. Would have liked to see what the Suns would have done at the end if Nash hadn't been out. That should be a good series too. The West is so much fun this year.

Im hoping the Spurs take another one tonight, that would really rock! Bulls dont have the right stuff, that is for sure. A rematch of the Spurs Pistons series would be fun, i thought that was one of the better series id seen in a while...

This game is...jesus christ. Missed free throws by GS, Memo with what would have been a clutch three if he'd been a step back...just crazy. Utah really should have already lost this game, they blew a big lead in the fourth and had to catch a bunch of breaks. Oh well, here comes OT!

Edit: Jazz dominate OT and win, even though they didn't really deserve it with the way they finished in regulation. Oh well, I'll take it. It sounds silly to say, but I really think that one was must win. They didn't want GS to go back home with momentum, especially with that great crowd in Oakland. So far so good.

Also, in something you might be interested in, how about the Derek Fischer story? I've never been a huge fan of his, but you gotta feel for him and what he's going through right now. The moment when he came back onto the court was just...wow. I can't even imagine trying to play with something like that going on, but he was great in OT for them. And it's a good thing because they needed him after that ugly Dee Brown injury. I hope Brown's okay, he'd really started to come along and play well lately.

The jazz are kicking ass, and a great story all around. It would be great to see Jerry Sloan do with this group what he wasnt able to achieve with Malone and Stockton for so many years. Grats to them all around without a doubt, and yes Derek Fisher is a standup kinda guy imo....

I hate the Eastern Conference (except LeBron). That game last night was terrible. I don't know what that nonsense was, but it's not basketball.

Well that sucked. Utah couldn't have played worse and GS couldn't miss. Horrible officiating too, Williams and Fisher couldn't even look at an opposing player without being called for a foul. Golden State has all the momentum in the world after that game, I think Utah might really be in trouble. It'll be interesting to see how things go on Sunday night.

That was probably Utah's best game of the series. They pounded the ball inside to Boozer early (and he was, yet again, a beast. I'd argue that he's been the best player in the entire playoffs), then bombing away from outside later. Derek Fisher was big down the stretch, Memo had a solid game, and Deron showed what he can do when he's not getting called for a foul every twelve seconds (20 points, 13 assits, 6 rebounds while generally controlling the pace of the game. He needs to cut down on turnovers though). It helped that GS pretty much imploded. The wacky shots they've been hitting all series weren't falling as consistently, and mentally Jackson and Davis both screwed up. Jackson had a dirty foul on Memo late, and Davis cheap-shoted Fisher (who was classy enough to brush it off, although it was clearly intentional on replay). I wouldn't be surprised to see them both get suspended, although I don't really expect it. Still, this sets up well for the Jazz. They just needed to steal one on the road, now they lock up the series at the Not-Delta-Center (I have no idea what that place is called anymore) where they've been great all year.
