(UK) Football scandal

So, has the rest of the world heard much about the recent emerging scandal concerning between 7 and 9 of our biggest clubs?

Managers, Coaches and scouts have been breaking regulations right, left and centre if the reports are to be believed.

I'm interested to hear more. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all the teams are found huilty and have a great number of points deducted as that's about the only way my team (Sheffield United) are going to be able to stay up at the end of the season.

its terrible isnt it!

my home town is Reading, so it will be interesting how they do this year.. or if they will be dragged down in someway with whats going on.

Apparantly they are making an announcement at 16.30 today. Lets see what happens then.

My team (Sheffield Wednesday) would need a miracle to stay up this year, they are playing really badly, again. xxx

Ooooo a family with a Wednesday and United fan in it, very interesting

What's the latest news on this? I'm honestly not suprised by any of it, it just seems typical of sports in general these days, nevermind football. It's also another huge eye roll moment being a Wrexham supporter and having another instance by which there is much more coverage on the bigger teams when the slightest controversy happens, but when our club almost got destroyed and our ground demolished for land development there was barely any mentioning in the press.

Very small indeed! From Shropshire right? I think I remember that from your location that used to be up anyway

Yeah, born and bred in the town anyway, but I've only in the last two/three years started supporting the team. I'm also (and have been since I was young) a Villa supporter, through my Brummy dad, so Im pretty glad we aren't one of the clubs in the headlines with all of this.
