Yea im in too.... its like we have nothing else to say, so we just explain the exact cause of the problem to get over 10 characters, quite ironic actually.. BUT its stupid and not needed.. i guess its forr spammers, but **** it, vote no on 10 character rule!

I have to say that I don't think the 10 character ruling has ever caused me any problems with my posting.

It may have been introduced to stop spammers but from the most recent topics we've had, they have posted a lot more than 10 characters.

I suppose it is also to stop certain individuals from siply creating a multipage thread ccontaining nothing but smilies and one word remarks.

in truth, I think we could trial not having the ruling in force and then re apply it if things go down the crap hole.

There are other measures you can take to prevent flood spam. My forum (and I'm sure this one, too) has a flood rule that prevents you from posting more than one reply every sixty seconds.

And letting forum software mod the forum not only completely obviates the need for forum mods (of which this place has plenty), it also really sucks.

I don't think Val intended to implement it, I just want to bring it to his attention so he gets rid of it
