Question What Are Your Fav Animes?

Dragon Ball Z-Loads of action, comedy and likeable characters. I used to think DBZ was stupid until I was laying down on my sofa watching it one day and I got hooked. Now I'm working on buying the DVDs. I've already seen the Garlic Jr. Saga and I'm working my way through the Saiyan Saga.

Yu Yu Hakisho-Man, this has lots of action, its funny and the protagonist is only 14! For being such an old anime series (1992, I believe) the animation still holds up very well. Some episodes tend to drag on but I still love it.

Inuyasha-The story of a half human half demon boy and a girl who start off on a rocky friendship but with each passing episode, Kagome realizes that Inuyasha isn't the cold being he so tries to be but he has a heart, even if he isn't so good at expressing himself. Their relationship aside, this series has great plots, lots of cool characters and sweet battles. I can't wait for The PS1 fighting game to come out.

Kite. (pronounced "Key-tae")

Quote:
Kite's story revolves around a cute young college student named Sawa, who is a professional killer. Her boss Akai is the police detective that 'took her in' when her parents were killed in a brutal double murder. Together with another young killer named Oburi, they eliminate child molesters and other undesirables that Akai and his partner assign to them as cases. But all is not as it may seem.....

Kite is best described as 'intense'. It is a short OAV, running only about 50 minutes, and is packed with almost constant action. And be warned, the action is violent, very violent. I hadn't seen anything like this since Angle Cop. The best part is that you really have no idea what is going to happen next. There is also plenty of good solid swearing, sexual perversion, and a well supported short story with lots of downright nasty characters. The subplot involving pedophiles ensures that you will explore some of the darkest of human emotions and desires. The artwork is 'different', and is very good, and the dub was better than I would have expected. The soundtrack is also excellent. Having a definite La Femme Nikita flavor, and appealing to my love of a good story, I thoroughly enjoyed this anime, and would definitely recommend it.

A Personal Note: Whether you have heard the rumor or not, it is true that in an attempt to market this title to a wider audience
the US version i have was edited for scenes of graphic content and (although they dont say Sawas age) underage rape scene i think. its only about 50 mins, but i think u can find the un-edited version on imesh or kazaa, if not, the edited version is fine.

theres no lunch in that 'lunch' box.

Fav. Anime Series
1. Cowboy Bebop
Extraordinary characters. Such emotion, such a level of cool. (OH! Laughs too!)
2. Neon Genesis Evangelion
A good series with LOTS of character development. But what a weak ending... Almost makes me want to write my own. :P
3.Yu Yu Hakasho
Fun, funny, action packed.
4. Dragonball
I still find this one more entertaining than DBZ for some reason.

Fav. Anime Movies
1. Akira
No explanation needed.
2. Ghost In The Shell
I'm glad Otacon didn't wear stealth camo like this...
3. Ninja Scroll
Awesome fight scenes.
4. Perfect Blue
A cool animated thriller. I WANT MORE!

Patlabor has to be my favorite anime of all time. The movies were just outstanding. It is a political robot anime with some fighting in it but its got great storyline and I like it even if it lacks the action of gundam wing or dbz.

Neon Genesis Evangelion was also one of teh greatest. The storyline once again very good. Had politics and robots which are a great combo for me.

Gasaraki is next series i watch because its politics with some action and robots just like Patlabor. It looks good from what I've seen.

DBZ is ok I guess but the idea of one person that can blow up the world with the touch of a finger kinda bores me. Its also more of a kiddy kinda show.

Gundam Wing I wanna see more of. I loved 08th MS Team so I want to get to see some of the other series. Any suggestions on some good series?

Escaflowne movie was good but I gotta see the series still. I thought they did a good job with the movie.

Glad to see another person who likes Pilot Candiate. I got flamed one time for saying that I liked it. I'm always watching my Pilot Candidate episodes that I recorded on Adult Swim a while ago all the time.

I'll admit that I never seen Trigun, but I really want to see. None of my friends in my area are anime fans so it's hard for me to watch a lot of it.
