MGS Officially becoming a Movie

It's been speculated for quite some time now, but Kojima has came out and said that MGS will be made into a movie.

Here's hoping they do a good job with it. I don't think it will be hard to create the movie, because MGS already is about 80% movie already. I'm also really excited that Uwe Boll isn't going to have anything to do with the project.

Any thoughts about it, or on who you think should play the roles?

Solid Snake : Viggo Mortensen, Hugh Jackman, Christiaan Bale, Samuel L Jackson XD

Since David Hayter looks like Solid Snake already, he should play his own character.

I'm disappointed that Kojima isn't writing or directing the movie, though.

As for other parts- assuming a direct translation of the original MGS, I'd want the guy who played the Colonel in Rambo to play the Colonel in MGS, since that was obviously the inspiration, Jodie Foster to play Naomi Campbell or Sniper Wolf, and Anthony Hopkins to play Mantis.

That's a wish list that will never be granted, though.

But Hayter would be cooler since he'd actually sound like Solid Snake.

He's actually done a lot of screen work before, too, just nothing that big. He's perfect for the role, and since Snake is the central piece of any MGS game, his voice and his appearance are important in any translation to film.

yeah!! I wanted that for a long time..the story is amazing in MGS.
Viggo have the right look but he dont sound as solid snake..and not so cool..

As much as I don't want this happen in fear of ruining the story, the characters, etc. etc. I'll hold off until a director and cast is found..

I read somewhere(i dont remember where) that he won't be doing the voice for snake in MGS4. Supposedly he said in an interview that he's losing his "snake voice"
