Unhappy Officer Down!

I don't know if any of you have heard the news....but Fort Worth, TX, has lost one of their finest Officers, Officer Hank Nava. He was shot while serving a warrant in NW Fort Worth Tuesday, 29 November. He was taken off life support Friday, 1 December, and soon after passed away.

I have created a memorial / tribute group to Officer Nava. Please feel free to leave a msg there.

Thank you.

That sucks that he should be killed while just trying to do his job but it sucks anyway that anyone should be killed who doesn't deserve it.

These are the guys that should be making real money, imo - not athletes.

Im a Fort Worth resident myself and know our city greatly mourns the loss of this man and others recently while in the performance of their accepted duties. I agree, Svosen, these men, and our military forces, are the hero's in todays world and they should be the one's that receive the accolades and the gratitude, and the financial rewards, for doing what they do as a service to our community and our country...

That is sad indeed.

We too just had one of our finest killed in the line of duty. Joseph Pokorny was shot and killed during a traffic stop and left by the side of the road.

Fortunately, an arrest has been made:

Arrest made in officer's muder
