Default I like cartoonz

I was watching Cartoon Network last Saturday and saw this show Zatch Bell. It’s really cool, it’s about these weird little “mamodo” that are battling to be the best one, but I guess the main character Zatch has amnesia or something and doesn’t fully know what’s going on. He needs his master guy to help him with his spellbook so he can battle. Has anyone else seen this? What do you think? I’ve only seen the one episode but I think I’m hooked. The website at http://www.zatch-bell.com has an episode guide and cool wallpapers and some fun downloads. Pretty cool.

Sorry, haven't seen it.

The only cartoons I watch are Veggie Tales and Jo Jo's Circus

The other night, my son asked to watch a Veggie Tale movie, so I put it in. Then he took off and played in another room.

Next thing you know, there are several adults in the room watching Veggie Tales, with not a kid to be found

Well, I don't even have kids and I still watch cartoons. And I'm not ashamed to admit it! Even though I don't have kids I still like having them around, and when I can't have them around cartoons are second best.

I like all those adult cartoons, Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, Adult Swim stuff too, but I also am getting into the Toonami stuff. Zatch Bell is just awesome. I guess there's a trading card game too, I might pick that up.

When I hear of a new cartoon I tend to try and see the first one. I used to do a lot of drawing and I'm genuinely interested in seeing different styles.

I think possibly the worst drawn cartoon I've ever seen which was by a professional team and created as a regular TV series was Jumanji (sp?). Good lord, that was an ugly looking show!

The latest I've seen is one called Dragon Booster. I can't really describe the style as quite frankly it looks bloody wierd but it has dragons in it so it gets a thumbs up from me.

I infrequently enjoy the run of the mill shows like Simpsons, Futurama and similar.

I also try to watch any which are computer generated as opposed to cell drawn. This is a true test of whether the production team give a damn or not.

That's cool. I think in a lot of the anime on TV that's essential, because it just doesn't make sense if you don't see it as part of a whole. Zatch Bell got a whole lot better for me after I went to the website and read the plots for the episodes up to the one I saw. I knew it had a lot of complexity to it but it was just a bit confusing without the backstory. I'm glad it's like that, I wouldn't want them to try and cram too much in one episode or lose the complexity entirely.
