Default Grandma's spilt 'Coffee'

Re todays main page story:

http://www.psxextreme.com/scripts/ne...asp?newID=3358

This should get laughed out of court.

Firstly she shouldn't have bought such an incredibly violent game for her grandson if he isn't old enough to deal with other adult matters.

Unless the kid is a bloody technical genius he won't be able to access the corrupted coding. I've searched for the action replay codes myself and they aren't there. In addition to this I've heard you have to do other wierd and not so wonderful things to your PS2 to get the codes to work anyway.

This is just another case of some crazy parent/guardian trying to over compensate for not giving a shit about the childs life the rest of the time.

Funny, I was in Babbages at the mall this morning [well, yesterday morning at this point..] and overheard the clerk speaking with a parent about San Andreas. My guess is that one the kid's friends told him about the sex scenes in the game and he tried to convince mommy to buy the game. The clerk told her about how "bad" the game is and that they arn't even allowed to sell it anymore its so "bad". He's a good guy, and I thought it was cool that he was actually taking the time to explain what the games really contained to the parents.

Just for the fact of the grandmother's ignorance for buying the game before this hot coffee thing came to fruition in the first place should get the case thrown out the window.

"Laurence D. Paskowitz, the attorney who filed the lawsuit for Cohen, said no parent would knowingly buy an adult-only video game for their children." Obviously there are a lot of dumbasses out there that will, because they don't take the time to see what the game is really all about. Not to mention that the game wasn't even AO when she apparantly bought the game for the kid.

The part that bothers me is that it's titled GRAND THEFT AUTO. What do those parents think the game's about?

More shop assistants should do what that guy did (I already thought they did).

If this hot coffee debacle has done something good, it's got more people talking at the forum
