I remember being a NHL fan. Don't know if I'll ever care again. It'll probably take a couple of years, if I do.

I was an NHL fan waaay back in the day when I was younger and the game was faster and more free flowing. The last few years there's been too much trapping and crap like that; the game's dominated by defense and is damn near unwatchable unless I'm actually there live ( Hockey is a GREAT spectator sport but translates poorly to TV). I can't say I really missed it while it was gone.

I've lived near Vancouver for 13 years, and not once have I been to a Canucks game It's not so much that I'm not a huge hockey fan as it is the VERY expensive prices for hockey tickets here... I don't know how ticket prices compare in other parts of the continent.

Recently I've become a bit more of a "fan" (call it bandwagoner if you will...), but I've never really viewed hockey as one of my more favourite sports to view on tv. The EA NHL games were MAD fun though back in the day... Also, I got SO sick of hearing about the NHL lockout around here, people complaining, the stereotypical Canadians complaining how their very livelihoods were in jeopardy because of the lockout, blah blah blah. I was just tired of hearing about how talks were "progressing" each and every day. I'm glad it's finally over just so I don't have to hear about it anymore...

Hockey is like soccer to me. Back and forth sport that ends 1-0. People can argue the same point against baseball, but it's still far more interesting in my opinion.
