Hey pal, I sure know how you feel, trust me. I had the same cat for almost 16 years, she would have been 16 next month. She was my family and i will always miss her. People do stuff like that and dont care anything about the consequences, that happened to a cat of ours when i was young, we had had the cat for over 10 years also, but i know how the affection for a cat is... hang in there, bro......

Sorry to hear that Mista. That sucks real bad.

I love animals and would be devastated if someone hit one of my dogs or one of my girlfriends cats.

Man, I know how that goes and I feel for you.. Personally I'm a cat man, I love cats, and thankfully none of my cats have gone like that, but about 2 weeks before I left for college 2 years ago, my neighbor found my dog laying on the side of the road, someone had hit her hard, and didn't stop or anything.. It really sucks to lose a pet you've had for years, natural or unnatural reasons.

People still care - a lot.

It's just that they mostly care about themselves first, then, if it's convenient, they care about others.

Not everyone's like that, of course (I'm not that jaded), but it certainly seems like it's becoming more prevalent, doesn't it.

I'm sorry for your loss. I've always really loved cats, too. I grew up on a farm, and I'm said to say that I've seen some pretty grisly cat deaths. It's never fun.

Not that it would make the loss any less real, but the simple act of taking some ownership in one's actions (ie - stopping and telling someone you accidentally ran over a pet) would go a long way to making it seem less nonsensical...

Thanks guys...I really loved that cat. I wake up every morning to go feed the kittens and it's wierd that Nala isn't there cause she was the one I used to get up and feed every morn and when I come home from work. she got hit running across the street to see me when I got off work...

It nice to see that some ppl DO still care and also a shame to see that some ppl really don't give a shit.

Let's hope the guy/gal meets a tree at high speed.

Better yet, I hope they get mauled by a tiger at the zoo. Irony eh?

I have thought of one saving grace Mista, at least you didn't have to watch your cat die. One of our rats is well on it's way. She can barely move and is starting to struggle with her breathing. It's a horrible thing to see. Once she's gone then our second rat probably won't be far behind as they are very close.
