Default New job for me

Well, Ive been jobless for a few months. Countless applications at some of the shittiest stores have been filled. Hardly any call backs. Finally I had an interview for a Data Entry position. I start tomorrow. It only pays 8$/hour, but its better than 0$/hour. :P The shifts are crazy, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 6 am to 8 pm. Fourteen hour days, but I get the next 4 days off. After 3 months it will switch to Mon.-Wed., same hours, every 3 months it goes back and forth. I just bought some new clothes cause I dont own anything nice. I had to remove my lip ring, the hole closed in 1 hour, i couldnt get the ring back in, but regardless I cant have it in during work hours. I have to cover up my tattoos, no problem. Ill just have to wear long sleeve shirts and a ****ing bandaid on my wrist tat. Oh well though, its a job. Wish me luck on my 1st day.

Good luck to you.

I've been jobless for a few months as well. However, I've had an interview today. It rather went well. Additionnaly, my old supervisor works there (I didn't know, and I got the interview before I knew he worked there). He alledgedly told them great things about me. Don't know the pay, don't care that much (as you said, anything is better that $0/hour - but I have a feeling it'll be much more :P). I get the feeling I'll have to work hard, and the job's on the opposite side of town, which is a downer. But anyway, I'd take it anytime.

I'm happy. I feel like I have a shot at a good job, after months of deceptions.

Good luck with the new job man. I haven't had that many new jobs, but I know how one can get a little nervous about it.

Actually, I got a new job at the beginning of this summer (early May). It's with the city I live in, so I'm getting paid by all the people's tax dollars :P . It's sweet though, I'm with parks and recreation, more specifically on the weedeating crew. All I do is go around to all the parks in my city, and trim around edges, trees, fences, etc. It's so easy, plus I get to listen to my own music all day (just throw on the earbuds underneath the hearing protection), so I just throw on my ipod and go. On top of all that, it pays a decent $14/hr., so that's solid. An excellent summer job indeed.

Good luck with the job.

I've only ever had one. Started at 16 and am still doing it at 22 although I have been promoted 3 times. I don't know what I'd do if I had to start going for interviews now

Good luck too, Shirt, be sure to protect your wrist, that stuff can be real hard constantly hitting the same keys and having your wrist at a certain angle. You will be needing to do a lot of adjusting to get used to it. I use a smart glove wrist protector to take strain off whenever i do a lot of data entry...
