Pop-up blocker, ad-blocker. The customization of the browser to your exact liking. It is light years ahead of IE.

To be honest, I have IE, Mozilla, and Firefox, I like IE best, Mozilla second, and I hate Firefox.
IE has a decent working popup blocker now.

And there are those many things that people complain about security holes.
Many times, if you're not retarded, you can avoid problems.
I've never had problems using IE. So, IE > all IMO.

I use a google pop-up blocker with IE. Works fine. I also have the yahoo toolbar for the anti-spy program so I think I'm pretty much covered Firefox does sound good but IE is good enough for now.

Accord, what net speed do you run? Even on my laptop running 1MB connection it takes only 2-3 seconds to load pages unless there are a lot of images on one page then it takes a little longer.

6mb?! Damn that's quick!

I don't even think we can get more than 3mb residential lines in the UK

I know it costs, but it would be worth it if you guys bought the newest version of vBulliten. Im sure some people here would donate. I think that would help a lot.

This is not meant to be insulting at all, but shouldn't you guys get your PS2 coverage in order before branching off into Xbox land? There are some recent high-profile games that you have not even reviewed yet. What is to keep people interested in your reviews when they can read them somewhere else the day the game comes out? I don't even want to think about how much more thinly spread the reviews would become if you tried to do two consoles.

I think that's why they're trying to get more member support with the reviews. People in the respective regions can provide reviews for the games that are released their first maybe even before the forum owners get to play them.

I think this could work but it would require more member input to keep things floating.

Maybe offering a prize for the best submitted review each month? Doesn't have to be anything special, just a little symbol of gratitude for the work. What do you think?

I've offered to help out again, but trust me when I say that in any business, recovering from a backlog is never easy. Imagine if you had ten games sitting in your entertainment center that you'd yet to play. Now, imagine trying to not only beat them all but write a concisive, intelligent summation about each game's merits.

Reviewing a game isn't easy, and in order for any site to consistently publish quality reviews, you've got to either pay people commensurate to their abilities, or get really talented people to donate their time.

Pete's come back to donate his time, and I've offered to volunteer. Now if only Stens would come back, PSXE could get caught up and branching out into coverage of a new platform wouldn't be nearly as big a strain on resources.

I'm sure there are a few gamers out there with good writing skills or the creds to grab and get to help too..maybe post a 'help wanted' type of thing on the main page, like you did in the gaming forum.
