Stereotypes

There are gobs, to be sure, but the one that popped right to mind for me (in Montana) is our stereotype of North Dakotans (the state bordering us on the east).

Here's an old joke that probably sums it up (I've heard this joke used to slam other groups as well, such as blondes, etc.):

Q: How did the North Dakotan break his arm raking leaves?

A: He fell out of the tree...

This quite clearly isn't the case with the majority of us but the reason we don't all have pearly whites is due to the fact that finding an NHS dentist over here is like trying to find shit made of gold.

The few private dentists there are require you to take out a loan for even the smallest treatment. One of my colleagues needed a single filling and had to pay about £150! That's about $280!!

You got away quite cheap then Gabe My GF needed a few bits of work done and her dentist had moved from his old NHS practice into his new private one. She stayed with him and she got done for about £600 for a few fillings nd a couple of cleans. Over a couple of months though....

Damn I hate dentists!!!!!!!!

Living in western Canada here, most of us "Westerners" dislike the eastern Canadians very much. The stupid Canadian Government seems to focus way more on Eastern Canada then over here (espeically with regards to Medicare). Newfies (from Newfoundland) are also made fun of because of their odd accent - they're somewhat "detatched" from the rest of Canada I suppose...
