Keane Appreciation

Bought this CD a few weeks ago.... Hasn't stopped turning yet! If you like Coldplay and those kind of bands. Check these guys out.

I havnt heard the whole CD. I know some girls that a gaga over them though, so it doesnt hurt to like em

I'm not a huge fan of that style of music but they are one of the better bands in the charts at the moment.

i agree... theres lot of shit in the british charts these days.

so without bands like Muse etc... Keane are a million times more credible than Busted or Mcfukfly.

a couple of m8s saw em just before Xmas... apparently they were very good.

I'm not sure about Keane, but I'm also suspicious of Coldplay, Travis, Snow Patrol, Star Sailor and that entire set, so my opinion probably doesn't carry an awful lot of weight. I think Keane's reasonably good--the singer has a beautiful voice, and the band has a clear gift for melody--but they're just so boring...not boring, really, just plain, just inoffensive...there's nothing really memorable about them. I still have the album, though, and I enjoy it well enough when I listen to it, so I guess that's something. I just don't think Brit-pop is so impressive, and to me Keane sounds too much like an echo of an echo to be really important. I guess you don't have to be important to be good, though. Look at the Killers. :P
