Default So where are you from?

I know, it's been done a ton, but I am bored and curious. They're always someone that leaves close that you never know.

Tell me where you are and at least one thing that is good and at least one that sucks about the area.

I'm in Va Beach, Va.

The good: The beach is close. There are some decent concerts. The weather is generally decent.

The bad: You have to take a bridge or tunnel to get anywhere, so there's lots of traffic. Too much military crap. Not enough good places to eat. No major sports team, even though there are 1.5 million people here.

:P

to be more specific, i'm from Queens, NY.

The Good: Famour rappers out of there like 50 Cent, Ja Rule, Nas, Mobb Deep, LL Cool J, etc... Also Jerry Springer was from Queens and went to my Junior High School and i believe LL Cool J went to Arnold's junior high school if i'm not mistaken.

The Bad: People are *******s, but what can you expect from NYC.

Perry, Iowa

The good: Quiet, good people for the most part, lots of places to hunt and enjoy the outdoors. It's also close enough to Des Moines that you don't feel like you're completely in the middle of nowhere.

The bad: Small as hell with very little to do. Weather can be pretty brutal in the winter and summer months.

LL Cool J lived in Flushing. I don't know who told you he went to Halsey. There were two NBA players who went to my JHS. And an ass load of celebrities attended our high school: Fran Drescher, Jerry Springer, The Ramones (all of them) and a few others I can't think of. It really is surprising how rich Rego Park and Forest Hills are. Queens is awesome.

And btw: Aaron, I think those insanely long bridges in VA Beach are frigin awesome!! I was in VA Beach for a total of 1 hour once (on the resort area) and I awed at the bridges. They're like wonders. I imagine the water isn't very deep if so many of them were built. Regardless, they're beautiful -- what a sight.

I've got nothing against the bridges and tunnels, it's just that there are no shortcuts around here, which means rush hour is hell. If you want to get from point A to point B, there's no going another way if there's an accident, and that means bad bad traffic.
