so who all has heard about the murder than happened in Skidmore Missouri? It a very small town about 45 min. from where i live.
if you havent heard about it yet, here is what happened....
there was an 8 month pregnant woman who was strangled to death. Then the murderer proceded to cut the fetus out from the mothers body. and then fled to kansas with the baby. They found the baby and it was still in good condition.

this is by far one of the most gruesome things i've heard of.

the murderer wasn't the husband it was some woman.

This type of stuff makes me sick. The types of people society raises amazes me.

I read about this this morning on the way to work.....It is unbeleivable to me that someone could actually do that

it will be intersting to see what kind of punishment the woman and her husband get for concocting this kind of crime.....

It's not an isolated incident, either. I read in the paper that approx. 10 of these types of murders have happened in recent years.

Quite disturbing. There are many children who could be adopted. But then, I wouldn't want to be adopted by someone capable of something like that...

I certainly hope that even the most forgiving person realizes there is no hope of rehabilitating this woman. Missouri does have the death penalty, and if there ever was a case where it was acceptable, this is certainly it.

It hasn't been confirmed that she was even pregnant to begin with. Most women who have committed the same crime weren't pregnant, but who's to say whether she was or not until they come up with some sort of lab results. The majority of the murderers lie about pregnancy for the attention, and when they can no longer hide the truth, they go out and murder some poor soul for her child. Some do desire children, but they kill because it's a quick fix to a lie. The last case I saw on the news was a 20-something-year-old woman out west who was murdered for her baby, but the baby died later. The murderer went to the hospital saying that she had given birth and the baby had died. Of course, the tests the doctors ran showed the truth, and they called the cops immediately.

Even if the woman did lose a baby during pregnancy, she destroyed an innocent life, stole that life from the victim's family, and could have killed the baby. A baby only has approximately 15 minutes to survive within the womb after the mother dies. Nothing should beat the fact that she planned it, premeditated murder. I don't support the death penalty; that's getting off too easily in my opinion. I just hope they put her away for a long, long time. Sad that this sort of thing has happened here in missouri, or anywhere. But it's really sad that murder is one of the top killers of expectant mothers in the U.S.
