Thumbs up Transformers The Movie

WARNING SPOILERS!! IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS EXECELLENT MOVIE DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER JUST GO OUT AND BUY THE DVD NOW!!!

WOW!!! What a movie!! Oh, man! I just saw it for the first time early Monday morning at 2 AM. Man, I was hooked from the moment the movie began and I was reminded of why I loved the Transformers so much as a kid (I'm 21 now). This movie is loaded with ACTION!! Non-stop, sweet-loving ACTION! One of the best scenes was when my boy Octimus Prime with up against Megatron! Man, they were just duking it out, trading blows and firing lazers off at each other! It was awesome. Of course, even though I knew Prime would die before I saw the movie, I still couldn't believe it and started at my TV in disbeliefe when he passed on. Oh and it was funny When Galvatron/Megatron blew up Starscream and took control of the Decepticons again.
I also really liked the soundtrack. A beautiful selection of 1980s songs like "The Touch" and the original score rocked. Oh, plus the opening the was killer! This is easily one of the best movies I've ever seen. Can't believe I bought it and didn't watch it for nearly a year after I purchased it.

Transformers own!!

Sounds pretty cool. Was it hand drawn or computer animated?

hand drawn, Transformers was one of the best cartoons. I was really young when it aired, but I've seen the movie and I'm watching the first season on DVD

Too funny. I had forgotten about that movie.

I was HUGE into transformers when I was about 10-12.

I saw this movie when it came out. What's funny is that I haven't even SEEN a transformer for over 10 years and I totally remember each of the characters you're talking about, and I remember the movie pretty well.

The most memorable part of the movie (for me) was when one of the Decepticons (gotta love that name, huh?) - I think it was Megatron - killed Ironside (he was a van, wasn't he?). He was pretty much a bada** for the good guys. They had already wounded him, and he crawled over and grabbed Megatron's leg, in a last-ditch effort to get him. Megatron looked down and... BLAM - blasted him away at point blank.

How horribly graphic. I almost cried when I saw it .

That's hilarious - that I was so into them. Man, now I gotta go get this movie.

Yeah, I really loved that movie and I've got the first five episodes on DVD. Too bad Transformers Armada can't hold a candel to the originals. Mini-cons. Gimme a break.
