it's only going to be 1 year (if that) when I'll have to pay my own rent anyway. I'm moving out as soon as I go to college. Getting a little flat somewere with my mate. Should have enough money by then considering I'll be working as soon as I am legally aloud to (in about 1month). and I have alot saved up in an account that was started when I was 3. I am only moving out because my parental unit is kicking me out....moving in with her fiance soon...in a matter of months.

edit: I will probably be living alone because my mate may not be able to leave his house that soon.

I smoked weed the first time when I was 17. I pretty much stuck to weed and cigarettes till I was about 19.

Then I tried LSD, Mushrooms, Ecstasy, DXM......

I suppose each person is a little different, but speaking generally:

15 is old enough to THINK you can make rational decisions for yourself. In reality, I wonder if 21 is even old enough...

But, I guess we have to start somewhere.

Here's how I look at it:

My job as a parent is to steadily work myself out of a job. That is, I am supposed to constantly be preparing my children for life on their own.

Involved in that is as much love as possible, and also involved is enabling them to make decisions for themselves as they become capable.

We should never hold them back from making decisions, if they are ready. Any time someone wants to make a decision to take drugs for social reasons, they are apparently not ready to be making that decision on their own.

Just my two cents.

Oh, and any parent who gives a child drugs needs to get help. That's really sick.

Yea, I would have to say it depends on the person. I don't like getting into what I have done, but i can honestly say the only things I still do are smoke cigs/weed, and drink. I'll do other things here and there. But like I said, depends on the person.

well the worst I am currently doing is drinking a little. It doesnt affect me at all because I control it, and I dont do it that often. I dont know if I would ever try cigarettes, because I am afraid I would get hooked on them.

yep, good idea. Don't try smoking....it sucks when you're hooked....I enjoy smoking but the kicker is how much money it costs....if they were free I'd smoke till I died.

I would probably never try smoking, even though this one girl warns me if I hang out with her, I will most likely start. She claims that is how she started.
