Is Hero pretty good?
I almost bought this DVD last night. But I went ahead and got Van Helsing, Spidey 2, and Riddick.

I personally thought it was a fantastic movie. The naysayers dont like the flying attacks like in Hidden Tiger Crouching Dragon. Well, i thought it was a beautiful, deep, and very well done movie. To the naysayers, whatever.........

I haven't seen it, but it's received extremely high critical acclaim. If you're interested in the style of movie, you really shouldn't be disappointed.

yeah, it's excellent. martial arts in it are good, but the cinematography makes the movie.
it's simply gorgeous. some of the best scenery you'll ever see in any movie, ever. |

No matter what, figure in some pretty deep violence, but its not gruesome like some movies like to be....

It was a whole lot better than "pretty good"
I loved it. It's better than Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon in my opinion, it moves along at alot better pace.

This is one I'll look into getting. I bought 'A Chinese Ghost Story' a few weeks back and haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Any one here seen it?

Some people don't like the exagerated martial arts in these sort of films but I think it's great.
