its very very good... but its not a 'KungFu' movie.

I wouldnt even say it was a Martial Arts movie.

I have a problem with Jet.. but he is very very good in this film.
fantastic art direction, use of colours.. brilliant.

BUT its not a martial arts film in the way that Crouching hamster was.

imo tho....

Sammo's got an oldish film out that he directed which is meant to be very good.

its called something ghost story... well, you know what I mean

you seen Magnificent Butcher? bloody great film..

I bought hero like a week ago, and just finally got to watch it last night, and it definitely wasn't what I expected, but I still think it was really good. The friends that were watching it with me seemed to hate it though... I guess because they're not a fan of movies that have a message like this..

my main issue with Hero is the use of wires.. there was really no need for so much, but as its a personal thing, it doesnt take anything away from the film.. I would go in to more reason about the negative points of Hero.. but that isnt what this post is about.

but I agree with norrec, I went to see Hero thinking Crouching Turnip... but it wasnt, in fact it was nothing like it... it was different!

i did love the film and will buy it when I get a chance to.

The use of colours is brilliant, and the story is very good indeed.

but it was obvious right from the start what direction the film was going in and what would happen at the end (not the VERY end)... so it just goes to show what a great film it was really.

one thing tho... who else felt a very 'Japanese' theme through out Hero?
