Default Water 'flows' on Mars

Quote:
Dark streaks on crater and valley walls may indicate that brackish water currently flows across the surface of Mars.

Water flows on Mars, Nasa
The images show streaks on the surface of Mars
New images and analysis suggest the slopes around the Red Planet's largest extinct volcano, Olympus Mons, contain dark stains caused by brine flowing down hill.

The discovery indicates that the substantial underground ice deposits on Mars can sometimes melt and flow across the surface.

It is bound to increase speculation that life may exist near to the surface of the planet.

Interesting could this mean maybe we once as humans lived on Mars and were once highly advanced and for whatever reason inhabited planet earth. I say this because i saw some documentaries on Mars where there is a certain type of structure that looks eroded btu can be made out as a face, half human and half animan(i think it's the lion or tiger) and it's relation to the sphinx which is body or a lion and the head of a human.

I saw a similar thing on CNN.com :

But they say that it's still very dangerous to even have a manned mission to mars due to the high radiation levels. Mars doesn't have the same type of atmosphere as earth does, therefore it receives a lot more solar radiation, both from space and from the sun.
