ur basing this all on 3D Mark 03? 3D Mark 03 was not specifically made for ATI, it takes full advantage of Direct X 9. only the 9700 Pro and FX r capable of using 3D Mark 03 to its full potential.

4200's are not that bad a card, but they do not STOMP on any Radeon 9500's. The may get a few fps over on the 9500 without eyecandy on. You turn on 4xAA or ANSIO etc and the 4200 drops to the side. With prices on high end cards now, I would get a 9700 pro or nothing.
Don’t even bring up the 9700 pro vs Nvidia cards. It stomps on the NVIDIA cards. Even the GeForce FX barely beats the 9700 pro and Nvidia touted it as the card that would outperform by 50% or whatever. Go do some reading about the cards technology etc. Make your own decisions and don't waste a penny on a NVIDA product till they get their shit together |
