No ****ing clue, but I'm pissed. No refunds or anything. I can't say I'm all that suprised though. The Huntington venue is notorious for having shows cancelled. Today is a shitty day.

Here's my rundown of show #1
What a show. TMV's setlist: Roulette Dares Cicatriz ESP APC's setlist: Vanishing Pet The Hollow Magdalena Weak And Powerless Rose Blue Thinking Of You A Stranger The Package 3 Libras The Nurse Who Loved Me (Alt.) Gravity The Outsider The Noose Judith I've heard every APC song live now except Brena and Sleeping Beauty, and with any luck they'll play Brena tomorrow Got there early enough, got very front row against the rail. Right in front of Jeordie. (left of the stage) TMV was good, but they dragged Cicatriz on just way too long. Roulette Dares was perfect. Then came a 40 minute version of Cicatriz and I frankly got bored. A lot of boring parts, and 40 minutes for any song is too long imo. Still, they were good, and Cedric was ****ing awesome. He climbed up on top of the speaker boxes, and just kicked a huge stage light off of it. it fell like 10 feet. It had to break...and it was no small light, the thing was pretty huge. Then he took a flood light off the stage, hopped against the rail, shined it in the crowd, then dropped it in the crowd. Then he just walked away. A few people got burned, and a huge fight that got like 5 people kicked out ensued. It took security a good 5 minutes to wrestle the light away from the crowd. Then he ripped the stage curtain off the front of the stage and used it as a cape for a bit. I guarantee you the UIC doesn't want him back anytime soon ![]() APC was great. Very talkative, very energetic, very into it. Maynard made us all say "shit****". The star of the night was James Iha though. Jeordie talked about how he thought James was from Seattle, but he was really from Chicago. First, they made James sing. He sang The Who. After that APC went into a few more songs. Then back to James. Jeordie went and sat next to him, and Billy stood next to him. Billy gets to the mic and says "Sing again James. Another song." James doesn't want to, says he already sang once tonight and he wants to tell a joke. Jeordie gets on the mic and asks they crowd if they'd rather have him sing. Everyone cheers. James looks down and shakes his head, but obliges. James sings BSB's "I Want It That Way". Probably was the highlight of the night. The crowd loved it. Jeordie got back on the mic and said "More James, more!" and the crowd cheers again. James is getting upset, and he trys to sing Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" but is cracking up during most of it and the crowd took over. James is really done now. He sees Jeordie walking back to the mic...but right away James throws the mic off his platform onto the ground by Maynard's platform. Then he threw the mic stand off his platform, nearly off the stage. Turns out he threw the mic so hard he broke it ![]() They had to bring in another one, which started off a bit funky.Maynard, Jeordie and Billy make anger management jokes to him the rest of the show. Just classic stuff. All the songs sounded great, and A Stranger brings a great mood out of everyone. Every bit as much of a sing-a-long as The Noose and Judith. The Package was my favorite song. There's simply nothing like watching Maynard do his monkey dance. He got really into it on Magdalena, Rose, and Judith as well. He played his funky guitar on The Noose as usual. At the end of the show, Jeordie stayed out a little while and jammed on his bass, and he and Billy made Iha do a metal scream into the mic twice. Then it ended. I ended up with one of Iha's picks and one of Jeordie's, which kicks some ****ing ass. Debating on getting them framed... Anywho, it was a great, great show, but I have a headache and need some sleep now. Need to prepare for seeing them again tomorrow, on Maynard's birthday. We bought the party hats today ![]() |
