I would agree that the cost of popcorn and beverages is very much inflated at the cinemas. Though, at my local cinemark, that's the primary source of income. We make almost nothing off of ticket sales, everything is generated from concession. The high cost is attributed to the lack of consistency in which people go to the movies. In other words, the price is so over exaggerated because nobody goes to the movies during the weekdays. There’s a lot to make up for on the weekends when business is prospering. But hell, I work there. I get all the free movies, drinks, and popcorn I can tolerate. And I'm seeing Kill Bill Vol. 2 tonight! Bow to my feet!

At the Premier Palace...all Concession items are less than 3 dollars.

so that's like 10 bucks for two large sodas and a large popcorn....

at The Warren though, concessions are over-priced like everywhere else...but they have combo deals where you get two large drinks and a large popcorn, and one bag of candy, for 12.50.

That's not too bad.

Mine costed £2.60 I think but he probably bought a foot long sub.
