I mentioned them briefly in an earlier topic and I was just wondering what people thought of them.
Many people are against them simply because of the fact that years and years ago, they were associated with white supremecist groups but now this is not the case. I've read their policies and I agree with about 98% of it as opposed to agreeing with only about half of what Labour and the Conservatives want. I just wanted to know your views on the matter.

I remember watching one of their Party Political Broadcasts a while back, made me laugh. "The British manufacturing industry is being overlooked in favour of cheap foreign imports. If we get elected we will stop importing foreign cars and electronics and invest more money in producing quality British goods."
So cheerio Sony & Nintendo, we'll stick with our British consoles. Rule Britannia!! ![]() |

sorry... but if I knew of a mate who was a member of the BNP, I would probably never speak to them again.
I will never agree with the BNP. tho their policies may seem sound and rational, they only want to gain seats and power.. and as soon as they have that we're ****ed. but hey, im British blue eyed, white.. surely I have nothing to fear? lol.... wankers the lot of them. its like the French version of the BNP, I don't know what they're called.. but they are getting noticed. its quite freighting that they could one day control France, I think that will be a good day to leave Europe. I see the BNP as clearly as I can see Hitler's campaign. at the time people who joined Hitler joined out of fear, non understanding and being lied to. there is no different with the BNP. only these days they are going about it not through violence but through politics. The violence comes from the knuckle heads that support them. Im not having a go Gab.. we're all entitled to our opinion, and tho I have known you for a lil while on these forums, I know you're not stupid, and that what ever you decided to do with your vote will be the correct decision for you, and thats cool.. but personally, I wouldnt cross the road to piss on the BNP if it were on fire. ![]()

I'll never take offence because I respect your opinions and your honesty. The good thing about our democracy is that if they are voted in (I doubt that will be for many years) and they turn round and f**k up the country then they can be kicked out at the next election.
Two of the things I support with the BNP is equal rights ie the scrapping of positive discrimination. If someone gets a job it should be because they are better than all the other candidates and not because they are from a minority. the second is scrapping pro-rights for imigrants. They would no longer get preferential treatment with regards to health and housing. I have no problem with immigrants coming into this country as long as A) they contribute to society and don't just sponge off it. (I know plenty of british people are doing this and I don't like that either) B) they don't have better rights/benefits than their british counterparts. You have argued your point without mindlessly attacking me or the subject of the topic. That's the way a discussion should be handled mate As for the import thing. I would hope that it only counts for generic items we can quite easily make here. I wouldn't be pleased if the 'specialist' items like games consoles were blocked. I've known most of you for about 4 years now (Jeez that's a long time) so you know I'm not some f**khead so I appreciate your honesty and willingness to give your opinions without resorting to unsavory abuse. ![]()

That's the thing about the BNP, they were built on xenophobic white-supremacist values, the whole idea that it isn't fair that immigrants come here and take all our jobs or use our public services, that anyone who comes to live here should forget all of their cultural history and integrate fully into British culture, things like that. They are/were the kind of people who, if they met a German, would start chanting about who won the war.
Events like 9/11 have shown that there are people out there who hate us as a race, who despise everything about what we represent and believe they will be rewarded in paradise if they kill a few of us as they kill themselves. When combined with the 'open-door' asylum policy adopted by this government that could theoretically allow bin Laden himself to slip into the country undetected it makes people worry. When people worry they look for people who are willing to take some serious measures to change things, which is what the BNP are now promising. That doesn't necessarily mean that the BNP have changed how they feel, just that they have become a little smarter about how they present themselves. I would not be happy to see the BNP growing in popularity because I don't believe those at the heart of the party would really do what is best for Britain. Even some of the things the Tory newspapers say is bordering on racism, and a far-Right party like the BNP is just going to take those things even further. That's how I see it, anyway... |
