The Get up Kids: Guilt Show... It's been out for a week, and I'm still loving it.

Guilt Show is a fairly good album, especially the song "Is there a way out". I think the record is a step in the right direction from "On a wire", even though I don't think i'ts their best. I just saw thethem in concert last week and it's one of the best shows I've seen in a while. The venue was small and intimate, plus I'd say the average age had to have been around 19, so it was nice not to get punched in the neck or a foot in the face from some punk crowd surfer. Matthew Pryor even signed my copy of their new cd after the show.

First of all, Papa Smurf didn\'t create Smurfette. Gargamel did. She was sent in as Gargamel\'s evil spy with the intention of destroying the Smurf village, but the overwhelming goodness of the Smurf way of life transformed her. And as for the whole gang-bang scenario, it just couldn\'t happen. Smurfs are asexual. They don\'t even have reproductive organs under those little white pants. That\'s what\'s so illogical, you know, about being a Smurf. What\'s the point of living if you don\'t have a ****? |

Been listening to The Cult a lot lately, but that's about it, aside from the cursory DMB marathons

Anyways, you're right, Guilt Show isn't their best album. I am really enjoying it though. I was a little disappointed that overall the album is more pop sounding than they have been in the past. The great thing about 'on a wire' was the ease of everything. I really liked the soft music. I guess change is good. It took me a little while to get used to though. I think my favorites tracks from guilt show are 'Never Be Alone' and 'is there a way out'. I'm a little irritated with 'conversation'. I think it could have been a much better song than it is... I guess it's alright though, being as how it is an extra song. Usually we only get 12 tracks on TGUK albums. ![]()
