Horrible, horrible, horrible movie. It didn't deserve any awards it got.
Actually, it deserved them all. But personally, I still think Depp deserved the top actor award over penn imo.

Nah, I saw mystic river. Its also a great movie. Both guys did a great job in those movies. I just enjoyed Depps performance more.

Congrats to the LOTR crew for a well deserved award!
I too think Depp should have got the award for best male actor, but then again, I haven't seen Mystic River...

Ties with Titanic and Ben-Hur for most oscars won - 11
 That's quite impressive, but I expected as much. The films were truly Epic, and I cannot wait till the DVD release of Return of the King. With the EE DVD coming out in September, I'm expecting some kind of surprise release of one MOTHER set in time for Christmas of this year.

ROTK-great movie till the last twenty minutes, i will definitely see it again, for sure, it brought back some of the magic from the first movie. Of course seeing Gollum finally meet his maker took a bit longer than it couldve. Mystic River didnt do anything for me, i know it did with others, but not with me and the person i went with, i didnt see what the buzz was about, its not a real uplifting flick... It took the end of 2003 for a few good movies to come out, it wasnt a great movie year...
