I had such high hopes, and what do we get, the new Celeron. Shame on you Intel. AMD all the way.

I don't understand atleast give me some more news? And BTW Prescott should be more like a Pentium 4.5 like Celeron was a Pentium 2.5.

Oh BTW, Prescott was not supposed to be all that of high hopes anyway, or so as i knew, because it's not all that of a crazy processor.

Exactly. The prescott was supposed to be in direct competition with AMDs 64bit FX processor, but it is nothing more than a supped up Celeron. Intel's preformance answer is noting more than another over priced pentium 4 extreme. Give me a break.

You'd be better off buying a Pentium IV Extreme Processor then the Prescott, wait for the Pentium V.

No, you're better off buying an Athlon 64. Pentium 4 Extremes are way over priced and still only 32 bit. You can get an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ for around $280 or the FX-51 version for around $750. An Intel 3.2Ghz Extreme is still around a $1000, meaning the new 3.4GHz version will be even more...
