Default Worst day of my life!

This has been the worst few days of my life. I just finally got my checking account cancelled.

Someone had stolen my checkbook and has been writing a huge amount of checks in my name. And I have no clue who it is. They can write them now because my account is frozen.

But, ive already had to pay 200 bucks in bounced checks and over draw fees. And the worst thing is they did it all in 3 days. So it didn't give me enough time to catch on.

I've had a similar thing happen to me bro. A few months back someone stole my checking account number. I had a check bounce, and couldn't figure out what was going on.. I went to the bank, and found out someone stole around $800 dollars out of my checking account.

I'll never pay anything online again.

just a little advise, if you put your credit card number on the net, make sure you erase all cookies after. But nyways, doesn't your bank have some kind of insurrance for this? so you can at least get some of the money back...

I've had this happen to me before...except it was a debit card that I lost. It was in my wallet one night...and the next day it was gone.

I had to cancel it, because someone took money out of my account that same night....150.00 bones.

That shit sucks...especially since I am pretty sure it was one of my roomates...because the only place I went that night...was from the living room, to the bathroom...or the kitchen. So I didn't like....lose it anywhere.

Even when I have net access at home I'll only ever buy stuff over the internet at work as we have badass corporate firewalls and other top security measures to stop people accessing confidential data on our PC's (I still delete all cookies after buying stuff anyway)

The protection at work is far greater than I could get for my PC at home without having to spend hundred of pounds.
