You don't have to be going that fast to get that kind of damage from hitting a deer....

My neighbor totalled his celica...and he was just down the street from my house....doin 40. Turned his front end into a U shape.....

Yea, I was up in Scranton this weekend and the same thing almost happened... I just pulled my e-brake and turned side ways... Sometimes I find that stops faster... Especially if your like me and have bad brakes. Where did this happen to you? Mine was right off the River Street exit.
The problem with the e brake is that it completely destroys any bit of control you will have of your cars steering if you spin at all..

Never hit a deer... but last year i was on icy back roads near warren, and came down a sloped turn, going around 40, and i thought i could control my car as it slid, but it did a complete 180, grazed the guide rail over a tiny bridge (only touched the driverside taillight, shattered it) and i ended up sideways stuck in a snowbank of the other side of the road... luckily some snomobilers were riding by, and they stopped to help push my car which didnt work, and gave me a ride to me girlfriends house where we pulled it out with her dads truck..

suprisingly my mom actually cared that i was okay and wasnt mad about the car, but my dad on the other hand was a ****, never asked if i was alright, and got pissed how the light cost so much... for a 96 chrysler sebring..
****.

I was doing 45-50, being very cautious because of the amount of deer we have, but thats all you have to be going and hit something to have that much damage...

from what I've found online so far, its gonna be ATLEAST $800...

some daytime pics

Something like this happened to my friend this morning.I was waiting for the bus at the bus stop and my friend drives by fast on the snowy road. The road curves so when he turned his wheel his car car spun in circles like 3 times and he hits a tree.Hes ok though.

Hope you have insurance Kaged.

yes its the car I just bought not too long ago...the fact that its plastic really doesn't make the damage anymore...the most expensive part is the light assembly and the hood, both metal. Its pretty much the same amount of damage my dad had to his focus when he hit a deer. the difference is that his parts were dented (still needed replaced) and mine are cracked and shattered...both would get replaced, just harder to drive the car with cracked and shattered pieces compared to dents...dents still cover and protect the frame from weather elements...

and punknoodles, I have insurance, but not collision, just bare bones minimum, so this will come out of my pocket...I wouldn't be AS upset if I had collision, but I just can't afford it....

yeah I've checked it, not much for my car...just the same parts I can find anywhere...

the parts that will be hard to get are the door, ground effects, and light assembly...
