The next next Ben Stiller movie

Noooo! not Starsky amd Hutch, it's Meet the parents, the sequel. Months ago, Ben decide to call the sequel, Meet the parents 2, that makes no sense right? so, the last week, Universal studios decide to change the movie title. Now, it's "Meet the Fockers"

The Oscar-winning actor will play Ben Stiller's dad in Meet the Fockers, the sequel to 2000's blockbuster comedy Meet the Parents.

Joining Stiller, Hoffman and De Niro in the Universal comedy will be returning cast members Blythe Danner and Teri Polo ; Jay Roach will be back in the directing chair.

Meet the Fockers will pick up where Meet the Parents left off. After finally managing to endear himself to his neurotic future in-laws, hapless male nurse Gaylord "Greg" Focker (Stiller) must now introduce them to his parents before he and fiance Pam Byrnes (Polo) tie the knot.

Universal green-lighted a sequel soon after Parents grossed more than $166 million domestically over the 2000 holiday season. But instead of rush-releasing the Fockers, the studio adopted a go-slow strategy to get a solid script first. Along the way, the studio changed the name of Stiller's family from Fockers to Fokkers, apparently worried that the former was just one letter away from an NC-17 rating, but has since changed the name back to the original spelling.

Meet the Fockers starts filming in March and is slated to hit theaters on December 22.

Yeah, they've been talking about this forever, I actually thought they scrapped it; thankfully not. Also, I believe the name was always going to be "Meet the Fockers." That's what I've heard for the last few years it was going to be called.

Meet the Parents sucked shit through a straw. Starsky and Hutch looks very promising though.

Loved the original, this one should be hilarious. It has great potential, and it's good to hear that they took the 'slow route' in order to develop a good script - we'll find out if that method worked or not soon enough.
