Default Best Stores?

all you people out there who build your own pc's, where do you buy your computer parts and how much do you think you would spend to build a powerful machine? I added up the price and it was over 2,000. some people claim they can build one for 800, but how?

www.zipzoomfly.com

And it depends on what your perspective of powerful is. You can get a build a pretty nice Athlon system for around $800, not including a display of course.

You can get the following for around $740 including shipping:

AMD Athlon 2700+ Processor
Asus A7N8X E-Deluxe Motherboard
80 Gigabyte Seagate Barracuda Hard Drive (8MB Cache)
512MB Kingston DDR400 PC3200 RAM
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS
ATI 9600XT
Sony 52X CD-RW
Sony 16X DVD Rom

That's without a case, power supply, keyboard, mouse, and display. But that's still one hell of a PC for the price. All items feature free second day shipping.

zipzoomfly is a nice website, though i would suggest mixing and matching because i've just noticed something are cheaper on zipzoomfly.com and some are cheaper at atacom.com.

For example the ram i wanted:

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...tCode=80097-41

For $523 + Free Shipping.

And atacom has that exact model for 459.95 + $5 shipping.

But the videocards seem cheaper on zipzoomfly.

You also might want to check out newegg, though i would highly suggest using zipzoomfly.com and atacom.com.

Thanx for the website Interceptor!

You mean I DON'T have to get a Dell or a Compaq presario if I only have like 800 dollars to spend?

Cheap, great customer service, and stuff comes to you rather fast.

If you get a compaq i'll slap you, they are probably the worst computers you'll ever buy.

And yes buy off of those 2 sites and you can get yourself a nice pc for about $800 with shipping.

If you want i can show you what you can get and still be happy with your pc all i need to know is if you want an AMD system or a P4 system with either an ATI card or an Nvidia card.
