Why did the "Condition of the U.S." thread get locked?

Hey, it's your forum, but here's a suggestion:

Why not give a reason (or reasons) for locking a thread?

Other than the 'war-bashing' rule (which was indirectly struck from the books by Arnold) I didn't see any rules broken in the thread.

Well, except those broken by Odin, that is.

You can label this a 'trolling' thread if you like, but here's a fact:

Odin is not fit to be a moderator of this forum. He repeatedly breaks the rules of this forum (mainly in the form of directly insulting members without cause).

I'm sure you all know of the philosophical disagreement between him and me, but rest assured - I would have made this post even if that were not the case. His attack on LordArchy was shameful. I doubt there are many of us here who are NOT tired of Odin's persistent bad attitude coupled with total disrespect for anyone who is not him. It's one thing to disagree with other members when you give reasons; it is completely another to attack their points of view based solely on one's own false perception of his godhood.

This is my last post in this thread - don't bother responding Odin. I have no further use for your 'style' of debate. There is nothing constructive about it - you seek only to tear others down. Do us all a favor - take a little vacation from the forum until you grow up.

p.s. - I would have PMed Odin about this, but it is obviously a community issue.

Bryan's post to LordArchy was sarcastic and tongue in cheek. LordArchy's response was simply a tasteless attack on Bryan.
