They closed almost all the Connecticut schools because it was supposed to hit 35 under with the wind. New Jersey schools have been closed too, and I'm not sure, but probably the rest of the Northeast.

Tomorrow in Sheffield it'll hit -5.


The only time we got sent home from school was when the pipes had burst or the snow was stopping traffic.

If it's just cold we were told to keep our coats on

School closed yesterday in Ocean County area due to snow, there was a delay today, but I didn't feel like going to school..It's below zero right now, don't know exact temperature though.

it finally got cold here with -11 F temps during the day. by the way, they have never (in my memory) closed schools for temperature here.

It's been below zero a few times here in Denver, but with our erratic weather, it often just bounces back up to 50 the next day, so it's not that bad.

Last year, though, we did get hammered with about 60 inches of snow in a three day period.

I was out golfing just two weeks ago. It was great out, must have been at least 60, then the next week, BAM sub-zero temps...

Does that happen a lot in Colorado? That would be a record breaker here in CT.
