Default I got a car today!!

got it off ebay. won the auction thursday, went and picked it up today (saturday). its too dark to take pics now, but I will tomorrow.

its a 1993 Saturn SC2. 5 spd, power everything, sunroof, CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!, 117k (95% highway miles), black ext, grey and black int, lots of new parts, runs and drives GREAT!

We were down by philly to get it (its 3 hrs from me), and I drove it back on half a tank (180 miles). gets GREAT gas mileage, and its still a pretty quick car. Im really happy with it so far, besides, I haven't had a car (that drives) for over a year!

How much did you end up paying for it? Also, what color is it?

I'm not a huge fan of Saturns (they're crap IMO), but I'm glad you could pick up a car. Personally, I would not want to buy a vehicle off of ebay - large purchases such as a car should not be sight unseen.

What do you know. Buying a car off of eBay is a smart thing to do. What, you actually think you can get jipped that easy? You do know there are laws that will protect you from having something like that happen to you?

The only way you can get scammed on eBay is if you win the car, while neglected to read what you're bidding for. Then when you find the 'smear' and try to get your money back and the guy points out that he had stated that 'smear' on the auction page...well, now, that'd be your fault.

ebay has quite a few ways to protect both the buyer and seller of vehicles thru their auctions. the VIN # is listed on ALL vehicle auctions, so you can check the vehicle history of any vehicle before making a bid. also, most sellers realize that its not like a DVD, or CD...something you KNOW you want. most use it as classifieds for more serious buyers.

if you do enough research on the car and the seller, you won't get ripped off. I got a great deal, I paid $1500 for the car. the seller was great, offered up any littled tid bit of info on the car you could ask for, even stuff that didn't really matter (door panel clips missing, its like a $2 part at any auto parts store).

as I said in my first post its black ext (exterior) with grey and black int (interior)

and if you think saturns are crap, you obviously haven't done much research on them at all. they hold up very well, they can't rust (plastic body panels). they compete with any other domestic or foreign car in crash tests, great gas mileage, and cheap parts. ANY USED CAR is gonna have problems, no matter what type of vehicle it is, anyone buying a used car and expecting it to be perfect is in for a surprise. hell even NEW cars aren't guarenteed to be problem free, thus warrantee's are in place.

anyway, enough about that, I do have some pics from the auction, but they won't allow me to link to another site. so I will just take some of my own tomorrow when its nice and sunny out.

Nice..
I have a 2001 SC2, but mine was salvage, and my dad is helping restore it. I believe it's almost done, but since it's in North Carolina and I'm in Penn and Vermont all the time, I have no idea how close it is to being finished. BUT, it came with only 800 miles on it. which is roxor.
mine is yellow with black cloth interior.

Right now I'm driving a 1996 Chrysler Sebring convertable.
I also have a 66 Ford Mustang, but it's a burnout, all of the interior was lost in a fire before I bought it. More of a car to play around with until its done.. but that will be never most likely.

I like certain kinds of Saturns...I'd have to see a pic. It all depends on the body style...cause I think they are all around good cars....
