I got fired from Block Buster
This takes last week.
Well I have been working alot lately at two jobs.. I work at gamestop and block buster. I have been going to work at 7 am - 3 pm at GS and 4pm - 1 am at BB. I was working everyday that week.. By about the 6th day (saturday) I was soooo tired, and it was around 11:30 PM at BB. So I went to the storage room laid down and went to sleep. Then my boss came in and was like "WTF are you doing?".. He even gave me a soft kick to wake me up (LOL!). And then I told him i must have fainted... He just strait said, your off the schedule... Go home! I kind of found that funny (maybe b/c i was so tired) and i started laughing and left. But I went back for my check today and he said if i ever quit my job at GS I can come back. My friend told him how much I have been working, and he thought that was nuts for a 16 year old.. Even though half the time i would just look arounf on the internet and shit... Well, there was no real point to this. Just wanted to rant about something.. Wait, moral of the story. Dont sleep in the storage room. Do it on the Jon(if its clean), that was he cant ust bust in and catch you sleeping.

Sadly, GD, you CAN get away with sleeping on the job if you have the right job. Back when I was at Diners Club, working with LEAD, we had a guy in our department who would sleep about 3 hours a day. He'd come in at 6 a.m., fall promptly to sleep, waking up only when a call came in, only to go right back to sleep after hanging up.
He never got fired. Hey LEAD, whatever happened to Ben? He left DC didn't he? |

Ben moved to Cali, Tracy has taken over his sleeping duties. I actually took a nap yesterday around noon. I ate a big chicken wrap and promptly fell asleep. We don't get any calls any more so it's very easy to "sleep on the job". LMAO!
It's becoming very apparent to me that I will dearly miss my job of web surfing and forum posting once my job is terminated here in the next 2 weeks. :-( I almost want to cry...  |
