I.don't like the Yanks or the Red Sox anyways , so I'll take you up on that deal.
Good game so far. In extras right now 14th inning. Masterson had a great outing : 10ks, 1 run through 8. Perez blew it in the 9th.

Indeed! Jays pulled out the win. Any starter is a threat. I love that. Romero struggled with command early falling behind in counts. All 4 runs in 2nd inning on just 3 hits, one of which could have been prevented. As an optimist ill just say the jays have held opposition scoreless over the last 14 innings. Lol. When romero got back to strikes he did well. Rest of the series should be great! Masterson did well. Should have left him in with an extra days rest in rotation.

Lol, I'll just say that the Indians offense isn't that great but I'll also give some credit to the Jays pitching. We had some chances in extras like when the bases were loaded and Cabrera swung on the first pitch into a double play after the pitcher walk the previous batters and was all over the plate pitching.
Also Cavaliers V Raptors tonight. This I wouldn't mind the Cavaliers taking a beating as we are tanking, either intentionally or not, for a higher position in the draft.

Ya both pitchers were good that game. Lol. Each gave up 2 runs on 1 hit each. Jays lost yesterday on 2 bad pitches over the heart of the plate to a good hitter. Gotta hand it to tge jays... They simply never give up

Cleveland will have to work hard, but they have the tools to push for that second wild card. Of course, every team seems to have competent pitching at the beginning of a year every year, but they aren't easy to get XBH off of. Jays are 3-2 so far, which isn't bad. Both losses were extremely close losses that came down to the wire. The 9th inning loss to the Red Sox was a disgrace... a passed ball and 2 wild pitches helped a couple runs score that inning. Bautista seems to be struggling at the start, both offensively and defensively. No errors, but he usually has a gun arm with huge accuracy and grounded a throw to the plate against the Red Sox that last year he would have nailed every time. (Wasn't even deep) Encarnacion is doing really well. If anyone has a fantasy league, he's an excellent sleeper pick if you can get him. Anyone else notice Brett Lawrie? That guy works hard!! Future All-Star for sure. (And Canadian to boot!) Jays play their next game and series finale against the Red Sox in about 10 minutes. |
