"Sweet Fanny Adams" is one of those phrases that has been around a long time. That usually means it has its origins in something unpleasant or gruesome that people are referencing without realising, and this is no exception.

EDIT - This is funny enough to warrant an edit. As part of its preparations for the Olympics, the UK's Ministry of Defence is informing residents of one building in London that surface-to-air missiles might be installed upon their rooftop.

I saw this on BBC News yesterday. I don't see what the problem is, I'd love to have a missile on my roof.
