I bought this game for my 4 year old he kept asking for a pokemon game, i've never played them, My 4 year old really doesn't get the game but my husband plays it while my son watches him. Maybe i should of started w/a older pokemon. Which one would be better for my 4 yr old he'll be 5 in aug

Go for pokemon yellow if you want to get an old one. It follows the first season or two of the TV show pretty closely and the first few are much more simplified then the recent ones.
