So this game is coming out in a week. We should probably trade friends code in this thread, cause you know, this is one of the rare wii games that's online.

Bah! Still no fixed date for a European release that I'm aware of. Luckily I'm not short of games to play, but I'm very much looking forward to this.

So it's out. Is anyone interested in playing this online? I'll post my wii friends code if so.

Despite the lengthy delay essentially killing my enthusiasm for the game we got Brawl on launch day and it's lots of fun. I'm especially pleased to be playing as Wario, who I felt should have been in Melee instead of junk characters like Dr. Mario. With all the new characters and the lack of clones the roster is much healthier and varied, there are lots of stages, the unlockables encourage replayability in a similar (though wholly internal) manner to achievements and trophies, and all in all it seems like there's a lot of content in here.

I'd heard some negative things about the Subspace Emissary mode but I enjoyed it. The story plays out like some bizarre fanfiction but there's not really a sensible way to connect every Nintendo franchise present in the game when you have a mix of sci-fi, traditional fantasy and cartoonish fantasy, all of which exist in their own little worlds. The fact that it's co-op all the way through earns it many points.

So ultimately I'm very satisfied with it, though getting it a few months eariler would have been nice...

I actually just got it the other day for $25 off Amazon, but have yet to play it as I just finally got my room setup, short of the TV. I was going to have my Wii setup on my PC through my videocard, but unfortunately, a roommates cat decided to piss on it, and completely ruined my tower. So for now I'm using my macbook until I order replacement parts.

I could set it up on my crappy TV but I haven't gotten around to it.
