Thumbs down Super Mario Galaxy...

... is bloody fantastic. I didn't like any other 3D mario game, but that one changes everything. The perspective (top view, or from the back, but slightly diagonal), gets rid of most of the camera-handling issues found in platformers. Levels are fairly linear, and extremely focused, much like the days of 2D mario games.

Additionally, the level design is fabulous, inventive, and it also makes good use of nostalgia through its music. It's a definitive contender for best game of the year for me - and I could see it become one of the best 3D platformers ever made.

I'm a kid again.

I know that many gamers our age have been waiting for a game that gives them the same sense of exhilaration that they had when they were playing games as kids. Something that many of us gave up on hoping that it would ever happen again. Well that game is Super Mario Galaxy.

I remember SMB3, even SMB! I was bigtime into the "NES" rush days with each new game release. Back in the day I had over 100 titles and sold them all at a garage sale lol....

I know what your talking about Sun, I was there for 1st Zelda, 1st metroid (lol, first Mega man )

I must get my hands on a Wii!

I agree.

This game is fantastic.

If anybody is lucky enough to obtain a Wii, or already has one, this game is a must own.

Well, after playing it for a week, and 50 stars down, I have yet to do something that's not new and fresh within the game. The only complaint that I have is that some levels are ridiculously short (Luigi levels). Otherwise, it's brilliant.

If you have a wii, you must own this game. It's by far the best game on the platform.

Just got Mario Galaxy and i must admit i'm loving every minute of it. Extremely fun. Reminds me of Mario 64 for the N64. Nothing like the boring Mario game for the GameCube.

Just accept it. I wanted to replay FFT after finishing it for the first time a decade ago...and I basically replay it once a year. It's just something I do...I've come to terms with the sickness, as should you.

Sweet. I have 33 stars left to collect and the game has yet to bore me, although it's gotten much tougher (which is a good thing).
