Default Final Fantasy XII help...

as ive been bugging certain people on another forum over this, i thought i would bring it home... and bug the same people, but just here.. lol

so i guess if theres anything anyone needs to ask about FFXII.... maybe post here and someone will hopefully come to our aid!

my first question is about License points... can you share the points from other party members? i read this in a FAQ, i wasnt sure what they meant...

"When Basch joins the party it's time to distribute the many License Points that he comes with. "

how do you do that?

i cant share the points ...ah well. never mind.

one thing tho... the time it takes to strike your foe, from the moment you have struck to the point where you strike again... does that get quicker through exp or licenses?

or does it never change?

I dunno whether it does through gameplay (I'm not very far into it yet), but I know you can turn the battle speed up, so maybe that might help.

Must say the game has been well worth the wait so far

thats true.. at first i started off on real time and full speed, but it was too much for me. now about 14 hours in, and i probably could do with speeding it up a little.

yeah!, its a top top game. i was going to wait for it, and buy it the same time as the PS3, but theres this amazing deal where i basically paid £8.50 for FFXII (traded in a game as well), so i couldnt hold back.

Bens been helping me on some stuff, just so much to ask though.

have you done anything with Quickenings yet? im not even sure i know what they are, lol.

Not yet but I have read about them. Sounds like I may have to keep this thread open when I get to that stage lol. There's a hell of a lot to take in, and I don't think I've ever played a game where about 8 hours into the gameplay I still have so much to learn.

I really like this game so far. It fixes all that I had issues with the FF gameplay (mainly, the fact that they were so goddamn linear). I'm afraid I can't help much, because I'm about 7hours in too, and I'm still trying to figure out the kinks.

Also, I was told to get Quickenings ASAP. They're kind of like limit breaks (I guess) - and they use all of a character's MP. They are unique - once a character has it, it is bound to him and no one else can use it. Each character can have up to three quickenings.

I'm still trying to work out how to use the quickenings. Something to do with pressing R2 until you get a button sybmbol on the screen then you select it, rinse and repeat.

The only way I think to reduce the duration of your action timer is to buy the 'reduce action time by x%' licences.

I spent ages in the mines killing skeletons and got over 100 chained kills A great place to build up you characters.

I am at levels 16-18 and about 16-17 hours in.

The lhusu(sp?) mines in Bhujerba(sp?) They are all about level 9-11 so make sure your characters are suitably prepared before leaving where you start. The name evades me right now.

I still need to post about the DO NOT OPEN chests. I'll try to do it later.
