Question DDR Max question

I know that this is a stupid question but can I play DDR Max with a regular controller? I plan to get the dance pad but it may be a few weeks until I'm able to. I know that I won't get the full experience of DDR Max with a controller but I was just wondering.

I just bought the game today and I was just wondering....haven't opnend it yet.

Yup... you certainly can play with just the controller. I do that on occasion and when I first get DDR games so that I can open up all of the hidden songs easier.

It's not quite as fun or quite as much of a workout, but it works.

He was refering to playing with your fingers. If you play with your fingers, you aren't working out. :P It threw me off, too.

I actually tried doing that the other day. My fingers were working out though.

I also wanted to say that DDR Max is one of the best games I ever played. I can't stop playing it.

Can someone please give me suggestions of a dance pad to buy for the game?

Thanks
