Questions on IRHA Drag Racing (PSX)

Yes, I've not yet obtained a PS2. I'm still into the PSX though. My console happens to be one of the first models produced the year it was released. It still works this very day. And I just got a new game.

I like racing games, and I especially like drag racing in Real Life as well. I stumbled across IRHA Drag Racing for PSX at the Electronic Bouteeq in Boulder, CO. I purchased it only for about $10.00.

I've noticed that in the Game Intro there are other featured cars, and on the jewel case, you can find the same cars as in the Intro. My Question is can these cars be unlocked?
And if so how?
And if not then why do they mislead the buyer?

You see I've actually haven't found any sign of these cars in the Game yet. But I was wandering if I had to surpas a certain limit of money to get them. But before i begin the hard work, I just want to know if they can be unlocked.

Right now I've basically conquered the game. I'm at 190,000 Bucks, and my dragster has all the best modifications. But it would be nice to get these cars featured in the Intro, and on the jewel case.

I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advanced.

Go to www.gamefaqs.com and look for a guide...

And im a fellow drag racer, and still looking for a good drag racing game, havent found any one that even remotely good...

Well Mclaren, IHRA Drag Racing has come to PS2. It looks pretty good. I wish I had a PS2...

You could always steal a PS2 like McLaren did.
