I need help getting past the yagihsi village. I can't spin the plates to match.

You need to get both pieces (L&R) of the four guardians document. Once put together you will see the correct placements of the dials. Or try the old mathematical/scientific method of leaving one dial in the same position and rotating the others one at a time. There are only 24 possibilities doing it this way (4x3x2x1 = 24).
