i have been a gameshark user for a good while now. i had a game shark for my PS (the kind you put in the port on the back) and now i have a gameshark2 for my PS2. anyway, the gameshark came with an archive disk w/ codes for different ps1 games. i have arc the lad, which is a newer ps1 game and the codes for it are not on the archive disk. there is no way (atleast that i know of...) to add new codes to this archive disk so what can i do? is it possible to enter ps1 codes on the ps2 disk and have the game still work and have the codes function and what not? thanx.

The gameshark 2 PS1 disc you can't add new codes. Yeah i know it's a bitch. The PS1 disc it comes with is more like a bonus.
You can only use whatever codes are already on it. The PS2 disc, for ps2 games you can add though i don't think if you put in PS1 game codes they will work on the PS2 disc archive. Hope that helps!

No, the only way to get a new disc is to buy a new version of the gameshark 2.
Or just go buy a gameshark for PSX. ![]()

Can't you use the PS1 Gameshark on your PS2?
If you play PS1 games on your PS2 the normal PS1 memory cards work don't they, so why not the Gameshark?? I could be wrong and apologise in advance if I am ![]()

She has the old type of gameshark, which plugs in from the back.

oops. Sorry guys and gals:doh:
All I can suggest is to buy one of the later model Gamesharks or Action Replays for the PS1. As in my previous post, would the PS1 cheat card & Disc work on the PS2?
